Ivyland is a small borough in Bucks County. It was founded in 1873 by Edwin Lacey, a Quaker settler who purchased 40 acres of land. Lacey named the borough "Ivyland" after the large amount of what he presumed to be ivy growing in the area, it turns out it was actually poison ivy. Ivyland was officially incorporated as a borough in 1903. Currently, the borough has a population of approximately 1,100.
