Oaks is a village in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County. Oaks is named in honor of canal designer Thomas Oakes, who helped complete the Schuylkill Canal and Brower's Locks at Oaks. Today, many of the village's original structures are still intact, including homes, the general store and the locktender's house. Two widely visited attractions are the Schuylkill River Trail and the Perkiomen Trail.
