Chalfont is a borough in Bucks County that has a population of approximately 4,100. The borough dates back to 1683 and gets its name from Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, England, the home of William Penn's first wife. The Chalfont Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and contains many colonial and Victorian styled houses.
