Laverock is a small community in Montgomery County, with part of the community in Cheltenham Township and part in Springfield Township. The community is named after the Colonial-Revival-style mansion and estate built by Arthur E. Newbold. In the 1920s, Newbold's son hired an architect to transform the mansion into a French-Norman-style manor house and farm of the same name, which was famous in its time.
