The region dates back to the early-1700's and was originally settled by Quakers from Devonshire, England, who named the region after their hometown of Plymouth in Devon. Plymouth Meeting is home to 4 locations on the National Register of Historic Places - the Plymouth Meeting Historic District, Alan West Corson Homestead, Plymouth Friends Meetinghouse, and Hovenden House, Barn and Abolition Hall. Today, one of the area's biggest attrations is the Plymouth Meeting Mall, which is home to wide variety of stores and restaurants.
